BIO 

Hi! It’s Alice Lussiana Parente pronounced (A - lee -chè).

I know, the spelling is misleading but I promise you, once you start pronouncing it the Italian way you won’t be able to go back ( true story!)

I was born and raised in Italy and I’m an award winning actress and voice over talent, raised in between the mountains of Piedmont and Turin in an artistically inclined and creative household: my mom is a painter and high school professor and my stepdad a pianist and composer. I grew up climbing trees, eating figs straight from my grandfather’s tree and watching my mom paint while trying to “invent a new color”

I didn’t end up inventing a “new color” but I did add colors to my life with music, theatre and dance. I started ballet at the age of eight and playing the piano at ten, but it’s during middle school that I discovered the art form that eventually changed my life: Acting. I started taking acting classes with a company of young actors under the age of 18 and my very first role ended up being Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, I was terrified. I ended up overcoming the stage fright and since that moment, I never walked out of a stage again. After that performance I was invited to join the company to keep studying and working in their productions and in the meantime I attended the Arts Lyceum where I majored in Sculpture and then graduated with flying colors in Cinema at the University of Turin with a thesis on child actors. At the age of sixteen after my very first audition I realized my dream of being a professional actress having my film debut with British director Peter Greenway in the movie "People the Palace" and two years later I had my professional theatre debut with Gigi Proietti and Fabrizio Angelini at the Teatro Argetina with the 2 year - National Tour of Pippi Longstocking.

At the age of 23, eager to shake my life again I moved to the United States after being accepted at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and offered an assistantship. After graduating I kept working on stage (off-broadway/ immersive theatre), in several indie movies, shorts and tv series both in Europe and the US and as a voice over talent (National and international commercials, audiobooks, animation, etc.) and I became the host and jury member of the Oniros Film Awards and NYIFA.

I currently live in New York but I keep traveling back and forth to Europe for work and to play cards and eat figs and fresh pasta with my childhood friends and family.
